The goal

motionball's Marathon of Sport brings teams together with Special Olympics athletes for a day of games and fundraising. Every year the Kingston chapter has to recruit teams, sign sponsors, fill the gym and keep the energy going long after the event ends.

What we did

  • Campaigns and creative. Promotional campaigns and creative materials to recruit teams and build excitement before the event.
  • Sponsorship outreach. Helping the chapter approach local businesses and bring sponsors on board.
  • Event planning and volunteering. New Day sits on the chapter's Executive Committee, sponsors at the Champion level and fields a team of volunteers on the day.
  • Event video for social. We cut the event highlight video into 8 to 10 standalone vertical clips, each one carrying a full moment or statement, to keep the story going on social media after the event.

The result

motionball Kingston's Marathon of Sport has raised more than $250,000 for the Special Olympics Canada Foundation. Our work with the chapter is part of why New Day received the 2025 Social Impact Award at the Kingston Business Awards.
